Persepolis: A Film by Marjane Satrapi & Vincent Paronnaud Screening Presented by Student Association for International Learning (SAIL) Sponsored by Project Nur - American Islamic Congress
Filmmakers Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi collaborated to co-write and co-direct this adaptation of Satrapi's bestselling autobiographical graphic novel detailing the trials faced by an outspoken Iranian girl who finds her unique attitude and outlook on life repeatedly challenged during the Islamic revolution. The English-language version features the voice talents of Sean Penn, Gena Rowlands, and Iggy Pop, with Catherine Deneuve and Chiara Mastroianni reprising their roles from the original French-language version

XJoin the Momix dancers on the Keller stage for an intimate evening of illusion and dance. Part choreographed dance performance and part interactive illusion, this event bridges the gap between dancer and audience by merging the two.
The physical elements of light, space, sound and movement are present but experienced through the unpredictable and surprising conditions created by the live performances of Momix.

XIntroduced in 14th-century Japan, the netsuke would hang from a kimono's obi or sash by a cord to attach the container in which Japanese men would store their personal belongings. These soon became elaborately sculpted from ivory, lacquer, wood and other exotic materials.
The netsuke in the Washington and Lee Collection come from alumnus Joseph M. Glickstein.
Kamen Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
